Serendipity
She got her first job in the movie industry in 1997 as a production assistant on the feature film ‘Seven Years in Tibet.’ This is where she encountered Buddhism for the first time and felt an immediate and deep connection with its philosophy. The movie was shot in the Andes mountains, in a remote and isolated area where she was sharing her daily life with Tibetan monks, Rinpoches, and high Scholars. Prashanti absorbed their wisdom as much as possible.
Going inward
The seed was planted, but only in 1999, after her mother’s sudden passing, that she began her formal studies in Buddhist scriptures, practicing sadhanas and mantras and learning meditation techniques from outstanding Lamas and Masters, including Kyabje Kalu Rimpoche and Gyetrul Jigme Rinpoche.

Powerful blessings
Having received ritual authorizations, guidance, and empowerment from an authentic lineage of masters and teachers who preserved the integrity of Buddha’s teachings has infused her chanting with powerful blessings.
